Practice "GREEN-ness"

Some day the earth will weep, she will beg for her life, she will cry with tears of blood. You will make a choice, if you will help her or let her die, and when she dies, you will die too.

"Not What We Have But What We Enjoy, Constitutes Our Abundance." -Epicurus

Giving
Blessed are those who give without remembering, and receive without forgetting.

Gratitude
If the only prayer you ever say in your entire life is thank you, it’s enough.

Charity
If you can't feed a hundred people, then feed just one.

Perspective
Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and is tomorrow’s vision.

Attitude
People are defined by their attitude toward gratitude: Without gratitude something is missing in humanity.

Approach
Think it more satisfactory to live richly than die rich.

For Thanksgiving 2007 Learn The Benefits Of Gratefulness

By S Ryanne Stellingwerf

I overheard a mother and her daughter chatting today. I didn't catch much of the conversation but I did overhear the little girl mention "the benefits of gratefulness". I thought we could all learn a lesson about that.

The leaves are turning color, the air is crisp, and the days are getting shorter. Thanksgiving 2007 is on its way and definitely in the air. Families all over the country will be counting their blessings over their holiday meal. This one day reminds us all to be grateful; but what about the rest of the year? Gratitude should be a way of life, not just a moment before a large meal.

We all want more. More money, more happiness, more time, more things, more space, more you name it. One of the ways to receive more is to be grateful for what we have. Gratitude actually raises our vibration making us a magnet for what we are focusing on. It is one of "the benefits of gratefulness."

Do you want more money? Then be grateful for the money you have. If you find a penny on the street stop, pick it up, and be grateful for the sign of abundance. You will soon find that you are finding nickels and dimes.

Do you want more time? Be grateful for the time you have. Even if you are generally rushed, you probably end up stuck at red lights like most of us do. Realize that you've just been given a moment to count your blessings and learn "the benefits of gratefulness".

Do you want a nicer car? Be grateful for whatever mode of transportation you currently have. It may be a different car, a bus, a train, or your own two feet but regardless, you can be grateful for it. And while you are being grateful for your mode of transportation, think about the fact that there are no bombs going off on the streets and no one is walking along with automatic weapons. There are plenty of countries that experience that very thing, but we are blessed with safety and security. Learn "the benefits of gratefulness".

When you woke up this morning, did you have a floor to put your feet on? Did you have heat or air conditioning in your home? Were you able to flip a switch and have the room fill with light? Think about that! Think about all the people who worked to provide those conveniences for you that you take for granted.

Did you eat something today that you didn't grow in your yard? Think about all the people involved in getting that food to you. We have countless things to be grateful for that we take for granted every single moment of every single day.

When you really stop and think about it, the one thing we want more than any of the outside things is happiness. Well, making every day a day of thanks giving is a guaranteed way to manifest more happiness in all of our lives. So make sure that thanksgiving 2007 is one you remember as the year you learned "the benefits of gratefulness."

Keep Your Perspective...Get Rid of Fear!

Worry is as useless as a handle on a snowball.

Life without the freedom of trust
imprisons us in the worst cell of all,
ourselves.

We are angels with only one wing,
and we can only fly embracing each other.

Everything works out in the end:
If it hasn't worked out,
it's not the end.

Men stumble over pebbles, never over mountains.

"The Happiest Place on Earth Should Be Within Yourself!"

Take time for inner reflection and quiet, but not necessarily inaction.

There is nothing better than silence: Practice finding and becoming quiet: Stillness brings wisdom and supplants excessive talk and sin.

Forget mistakes. Forget failures. Forget everything except what you’re going to do now. Now is not yesterday or tomorrow. A wonder- full life joy is to begin.

Why Moms are so special....

All I am or hope to be--
I owe to my angel,
my mother.

God made mothers
as His representative
on earth.

God wants to be everywhere--
and so
He made mothers.

On Living....

At birth,
we cry
and others rejoiced.

Live life in a manner
that upon death,
others cry
and we rejoice.
